Does anyone have any suggestions as to what brand of contact cleaner to use? The stereo/mono switch on my Neo motherboard caused static when I switched it to stereo. I had to do it a few times to get it in just the right spot to get it to stop. I also have a volume pot on my SFII cab that does the same thing in certain spots. So I want to try some of this stuff but wanted you guys input first.

This stuff works pretty good:

I'll second that DeOxit is the best. :D

Third, though it's expensive (~$15 for two tiny 14g cans). For simple stuff, I typically use QD contact cleaner from Lowes... it's ~$8 for a large can (11oz).

And is DeOxit universally good for arcade type contact cleaning?

I had someone mention that it may not be good for all of the old school contacts.

They may have been referring to silver contacts like in old EM machines. Those should never have *any* contact cleaner sprayed on them.

Other than that, I've never had (or heard of) a problem.
