My Rush the Rock seat is filthy... I've tried 409, i've tried alcohol... both take the top layers off but the really grimy shit inside of the "texture" of the seat remains.

...any suggestions? Even the trusty Magic Eraser isn't really working... and the texture of the seat eats them up pretty damn quickly as well.

Try grease remover. If the game was in a place that served food it can have a lot of grease on it. The last pin I bought came from a pizza place and the amount of grease it had was incredible.

Another option is to get rid of it, and get yourself a Rush 2049.

Mean Green...

SECONDED! Mean Green with a medium nylon bristle brush, let it soak for a minute or two and start scrubbing.

It is hands down the best cleaner for fifthly arcade games and it's cheap at the Dollar Store.

I love Simple Green. I use it on both pinball machines and arcade machines. I get big jugs of it and just fill spray bottles up as needed.

Grab some Degreaser from Smart and final or one of those resaurant stores. It takes off grime really well. I used it thinking, "I used it to clean a grimey deep fryer why not the grease of sweaty smelly unicorns".

Purple Power. Cheap and effective. I use it in my ultrasonic cleaner straight and it has yet to fail to clean any carburetor, springs, pieces, valves, etc that I throw at it. Obviously, you'd probably have to dilute it for your application, but maybe give it a try. Easily had at KMart or WalMart.

wow there's some great idea's here, I've mainly used windex to clean most of my stuff, or rubbing/denatured alcohol. i planned on using retrobrite (home made) if i ever get anything white that's yellowed but that hasn't come up.

I wonder if westly's bleach white (butchered spelling) would work, you know the stuff you use on tires... you'd have to be careful with it tho as it might bleach out the color.

for that seat tho: (hard plastic textured and terribly uncomfortable)

i'd use a stiff bristle brush with either simple green (or equivelent) or soft scrub.
