Best cheap 19 inch arcade monitor shelving from walmart or kmart?

I have a lot of monitors all over the damn place. They are starting to get on my nerves. I want to put them all in one place aka storage unit.

Do any of you guys store all your monitors on a shelf system of some sort? I need some ideas on what to buy so I can get all of these damn things off the floor.

I know djdns has all his on shelving but im not sure what he ended up buying / building.

Thanks for any ideas...

Sam's Club has similar shelving to that found on the Wal-Mart site, but they are a bit cheaper and a bit more suited to your purpose as they are made for industrial/commercial use. :)

Thanks man I was hoping that these 5 shelf set up's would work.

They are like 20.00 a pop but im not so sure if the monitors would fit on them. I figure somebody has all ready been down this road so it's better to ask first.

I would rather not buy the commercial stuff at more money if I don't need to.

Measures: 30''W x 12''D x 59''H

Looks like I might be able to get ten monitors on one shelf unit but only has a rating of 300 pounds.

I might roll the dice on this type. Hope it doesn't turn into a fiasco. lol

That type of shelving is held together by small bolts, and square nuts. They are very flimsy. Also check your Depth. it's only 12" That means alot of your monitor will be hanging out.

Yep. Monitors aren't light. Those will probably collapse under more than a couple.

I went to Home Depot, bought $62 worth of boards and plywood, and built my own. I currently have about 25 monitors on it...

Billy, these adjustable shelves I have will hold more weight than you can put on them. They run around $80 each at BJ's. I have several hundred pounds of metal on one out in the garage. Those cheap particle board shelves will warp with the slightest bit of weight.

Hmm, these look real similar to the ones I have. Mine are chrome but these say they are epoxy coated. I know the ones I have are rated for commercial use in kitchens and resturaunts...probably just the coating. Other than that they look identical.

Ok, here are the ones I have. Like I said, BJ's has them for less than $100. These are good stuff, I have about 9 or 10 of them. It comes with wheels and leg levelers so you can use either.

Which ones are these? Where did you get them man?

Djdns hit me back and said these have served him well...

They are rated at 4000 pounds? My gawd... but at 63.99 a pop i guess that not too bad.

I would still like to save a little bit more money on them. These are the same dimensions and rated a 750 pounds or 150 pounds per shelf.

They are 29.98 each so I could save half the dough. You think 150 pounds per shelf is the sweet spot? Looks like I could fit ten monitors on one.

Mod I didn't forget about your post either. My only problem in building them is its a rented storage bin. I really want these to be a mobile solution. I wish I had the room here to do just that.

What ever you go with do not get the ones with particle board shelves the start to bend and sag over time.

No doubt your shelving is second to none Mike. Those are some bad ass shelves. Money is a little funny atm so I was trying to get something cheaper. All I really want to do is get my Williams boards up on the wall so I can work on them. In order to make this happen I need some space. Getting all my monitors in one place will help the most.

Right now I need to get the most bang for the buck. So what ever the minimum is on the shelves that's what I am gonna live with.

I think there is a happy medium here, where im not wasting my money on flimsy junk. At the same token I am not over spending either.

Now its just a matter of finding the right shelves to fit the budget and that will hold up and get the job done.

Dont buy the plastic ones, they will warp on you just like the particle board does.
Here are some pics of a couple of mine.

Dam Mike... I wish I could spend the money on those really!

Dokert and Slackmoe have posted about the ones they have. I wonder how much those are?

I doubt they are much cheaper, they look HD. I like the ones I have because they go together with no tools and you can adjust the shelved anywhere in a couple minutes.

I have the same ones Riptor has. They are nice and will hold plenty of weight. I got mine at Sams Club. You get what you pay for.......

Yeah I use those wire chrome ones too. We also use them at work. They do hold quite a bit. Plus if you get wheels for them you can move them around.

Well Mike I have looked all over the bj's site. It looks like all they have are shelves made by alera. I don't see the ones with the wheels like you have.

I also noticed the shelves your linked over on kmart are rated for 800 pounds. Are those what your's are really rated?

Hell if yours are only 80 a pop loan my your bj's card or sams...

I am starting to see the light. I know one thing the sams website is the biggest piece of well...

Can't find nothing...

I know BJ's still has them, saw them a couple weeks ago. They always have them in the store. I have no idea what brand they are. I dont have a BJ card, girlfriend does so it doesnt make sense to get my own. Im sure we could run over there tomorrow if you want to come by.
