Looking for project cabs to turn into a kegerator for work.

Need something fairly wide to get the refrigeration equipment in there. Just wondering if there's something that would be a good starting point, or if we should build the cab from scratch.

Plan is to put an LCD screen in it with a small computer, and keep all the electronics up and out of the way. I also want to keep the taps hidden so it looks like a regular arcade machine until you need to pour a pint :)

*NOTE* I'm not looking to destroy a classic, so put your pitchforks down :)

Tapper is something I thought about putting on there, I'd even like to make custom ROMs, but that's a lot of work (this is for the office, not for home). I was asking about cabs because there are plenty that are available that would not be restoration candidates, and it would give me a good head start (rather than building the cab from scratch).

Search craigslist for a cabinet that's already been basterdized.

There are plenty of hellcade machines out there for the take--many on the cheap. Example in Minneapolis: http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/vgm/3222288227.html

Personally, if it looks like a machine that can be restored to its original glory I'd leave it alone...

I would suspect most full sized cabinets can hold a 5 gallon just fine. I'd be concerned about condensation though and would consider rubberizing the interior for the keg components or dropping a cooler in with an A/C drainage hose or something.

A 6 player X-Men would give you enough room for kegerator and a fridge. ;)

Me? I'd use some worthless cab like a Star Wars upright or cockpit.

A lot of the early black and white titles were a couple inches wider than the usual 24" that later games got stuck on and they are often basket cases as far as restoration goes.
