Best automotive themed pinball machines?

i enjoy cars and pinball machines both....
i would advise you to look for a high speed or high speed 2. or taxi is also a very fun cheap game......(wish i could find one locally and cheap)
corvette is a fun game and is very easy to sell. but that machine costs alot more than $1000
i would not get a indy 500.....i will be honest and say i never played the game but i know many people who pass when a indy 500 title comes up for sale, they usally go for something more collectible.

theres no way you dropped the ball on a checkpoint for $1000. you can get a checkpoint any time you want for $1000....with a little searching and maybe some extra driving

Thanks for all the opinions, now i know what to look out for.
As a newb to the arcade hobby, i'm quickly realizing that you need to have a pretty vast list of what you want, so if something appears for a fair price you can jump on it.

Well, based on this post i made a few months back, i bought a high speed.
It was in kinda poor condition (but it was pretty cheap).
Spent the last month fixing/shopping/repairing and it's finally done (other than a couple out bulbs, waiting on more leds).

I must say, if you are into cars, this is a very fitting machine for a noob.
Love the engine sounds.
Plenty of info and parts out there.
Overall, i'm extremely happy i bought it, and i think it's a great learning machine to cut your teeth on.

In my opinion... Indianapolis 500 is not only the best Automotive themed pinball but one of the best overall. Very fun and challenging. They are rather hard to find and typically sell in the high teens and up. Welcome to Pinball. It is a "fever". You are hooked now. LOL

Did i drop the ball on a checkpoint with an asking price of $1000?

$1000 is way too much for a checkpoint.........i see them sell all the time EASILY for UNDER $1000. i saw one locally sell for $300 and it worked fine but needed a DMD display. that was cheap if you are looking for one. i called on it and it was sold. for $1000 you should be able to buy any checkpoint you want!!! lol............

as for good car themes.....
corvette is a good one and a easy one to sell. high speed 2 is a very good one to play and its not crazy expensive. i like creature from the black lagoon it has a monster/old car/drive-in movie theme to it. taxi is another fun game, i wish i could find a taxi someday cheap.
