Hey guys, if you can't tell, i'm a car guy.
Would like to have a pinball machine.
I like auto themed stuff, looking through the list 1 by 1 on the arcade museum home page was giving me a headache, so i just figured i would ask.

I saw a data east checkpoint locally for sale at an asking price of $1000, said to be home use only, i'm starting to think i shouldn't have ignored it (it's gone now).

Others i've seen (i think) were a corvette machine and a viper one.

Any other good ones out there?
Am i going to have to pay over a grand to get one?

Thanks,
Joe

If you don't mind owning an older pin, Nitro Ground Shaker is a drag racing theme. Not as fun as newer pins, but the artwork fits. That's why I got mine.

High Speed or High Speed 2, both are sweet playing games. For looks over gameplay choose Corvette.

Thanks for all the tips, i'll start keeping my eye out.

Did i drop the ball on a checkpoint with an asking price of $1000?

If it was truly HUO, and in excellent condition, that'd be a fair price, but not any kinda screaming bargain in my opinion. Not a big fan of the game though either..

I really like Taxi, and I just saw one today on CL for $1K. Driving distance for you.

Thanks for the tip, although automotive, i think i'm a little more sports car orientated though. I think i would have it, just not sure how far i would go out my way to get it.

Sorry no nascar either guys, man do i hate nascar.

Couple High speeds not that far from me, one at $1200 one at $700 (i'm pretty sure both high speed 1).
Seems like quite the difference in price.

Edit: the more expensive one is a II, but ad says it shuts down on it's own from time to time on it's own.

I agree. I500 is the best of all the automotive themed pins. I'm not even a car guy, and it's one of my favorites!

I love my HUO I500 and it's a definite keeper in my collection.

Spinning Indy car on the top right which spins faster and faster causing a shaker effect as you keep hitting the right ramp over and over again.

Spinning turbo which is used to lock balls and spits out directly to the right flipper.

Indy car diverter used to lock balls when in pit stop mode.

Nice race car inspired cab artwork and executed very well through out and even has call outs by Paul Page and Bobby Unser.

I think if you stack certain modes you have a victory lap shot that could be worth potentially 2.8billion alone but not easy to get.

This is a very fast game as the ball is constantly in motion as there are no subway ramps so the ball is constantly returned directly to either flipper.
