Give me your top two please. I would like a good one to eventually get, but would love your thoughts.

I have only had experience with Cinematronics Double Play, so I don't know how others would compare.
At any rate Double Play is fun to play with regular and batting derby modes. The gimbal joysticks make for a smooth control experience.

I have a g07 that has some hella champion baseball burn on it. So somebody loved it. I have an RBI daughter card for my vs and Ive never even tried it.

1. Strike Zone Baseball....... STRIKE! ....YER Out... Great sounds and stats.
2. Relief Pitcher for it's scenarios, great pitching/hitting options and fun Jack Buck announcing.
> and fun Jack Buck announcing.

Oh, that is seriously cool. Jack Buck was an excellent announcer. I've never run across anyone who could do it better than him.

The only ones I remember from back in the day are RBI Baseball (Atari) and World Series Baseball (Cinematronics). And World Series - The Season.

But I'm going to say Atari Baseball (1979). Yeah, it's primitive. But it has all the bases covered. :)ROFLMAO: )
And those big ass trackballs add a special element to the game - endurance! And even the possibility of IRL injury! That can make all the difference.
My nephew hit a single in the right field corner against me and he stretched it for a triple. Young blood barely made it.
He was almost crying from trying to move that heavy ass bowling ball the whole way and was begging for a time out to get the feeling back in his shoulder.

He was 20 at the time, but I still had to explain a few basic things to him:
1) There is no game clock in baseball. So you can't call time out!
2) There's no crying in baseball!
3) That was a strike. I can't stop it from throwing. It's your own fault for not paying attention.
4) THERE'S NO CRYING IN BASEBALL!

We played 9 innings and we both almost died. And we loved every minute of the arguing, the excitement, and the pain. I'd do it again all day every day.
And he was in there playing it alone every day that he was here so Atari did something right with it.

So yeah. Call me a maverick. These are my pics.
1) Atari Baseball.
2) World Series - The Season.

And though I hear the game play isn't very good, Atari's Flyball gets an honorable mention just for the bottom half of the side art:

Ridiculous you say? Dude's legs don't even look real you say?
That's not how the body works you say?

LOOK AGAIN. That's Reggie.
God bless Atari's art department!

true, but back then, he was an oakland athletic. not a lame NY yankee.

so this a better pic.

This is absolutely correct, Bill!
I was trying to find the crazy legs and the bat on the shoulder AND the mustache without the beard. My phone was failing me.
The best I could find was the SuperDuperStar and the beard was killing me! Your first picture is the closest, but the wrong angle.
And no mustache.

This one's even better. But still not quite the frontal angle I needed to fully appreciate the legs twisted.
And....the Stankees uniform. At least it's not the pinstripes. God forbid!
I so hated it when he went to New York.

He swings with his heart and soul. Just like a 10 year old.
God I love guys that play like that.

Baseball Stars 2 by a mile.

RBI's probably second.
Shocked that it took until post 11 for this!

BBS2 is by far and away the best. I'm a fan of many console baseball games, and it's head and shoulders above everything else. Not the most technical game, but in pure gameplay and presentation it's awesome. Grab a juiced bat and go yard!

Anyone who into baseball games needs to play it: Baseball stars TWOOOOOOO!

World Series The Season - Which I own and play every weekend! Love the analog bat stick and pitching stick. Feels real.

RBI baseball is 2nd.
