I'm working my butt off on a bartop multicade, and I am to the point I want to figure out my sideart. The cabinet is a Merit Pit Boss cabinet. When I got it, it was a total piece of trash full of a rats nest and a metric ton of rat piss/poop. Since then I am about finished restoring the cabinet - along with brand new side panels. I used white melamine for the sides, and kept the metal parts black. I haven't decided on t-molding, because I wanted to figure out art first.

FYI, this is not my cabinet, but is the same style of cabinet.

So first off, anyone have links or img files to the best 48/60 in one art packages? I've seen some good ones, but can't find them again. All the normal multi packages always have some ridiculous off the wall character thrown in to ruin it.

My second consideration is the coin mech on the right side. I'd like to figure out a tastefull way to have sideart with that thing taken into consideration.

Lastly, I would like to keep the art onto an 8-1/2x11 sheet. That way I can just print it off on sticker paper then seal it up good with clear coat.

If I can't find a pre-packaged multi sideart, I supposed I'll raid the vector art library and put something together. I suck at this stuff, so hopefully some of you graphically inclined fellows will help me out.

If going custom, my initial idea is to go with a top stripe and bottom stripe of art on each side. That way I can avoid the coin area all together. I'm also considering coming up with a CP overlay to tie it in.

Anyways, feel free to help me brainstorm folks!

first thing I would do is figure out a way to roate the the monitor to play the 60 in 1 games..

That is not an issue.

But since you asked - the original monitor was a 10" Hantarex MTC9000. It was way too big to rotate. I have a 9" VGA monitor on the way that fits perfectly vertically.

I had one and the hantrex fits like a glove, so it was going to be an issue. 9" was a good solution.

As for cab art, less is more in my book..

No help really, but have you asked around at the BYOAC forums. There are quite a few graphics guys over that would help you out. Some charge, some don't.

Wouldn't mind seeing some pics of your cab too if you have the time. Would give me some good ideas on what to do with mine...

I didn't want to ask over there, because the 48/1 boards are taboo. I know I've seen good 48/1 art over here, and figured someone would remember what I was thinking of.

Here is how it sits as of today:

This thing was a total rat nest infested piece of crap when I got it. I'm a sucker for lost causes though, so I tackled it as one of my insane little projects.

That one is a jumbled mess and has a ton of games that aren't on the 60/1. I opened it in AI and deleted all the non-60/1 games, but then it looked even worse.

It would be nice to have something that shows off the highlights - a tight art package including the big names on the board - Pacman, Galaga, DK, centipede
