Hi! Anyone know what battery is used on a berzerk board, I am helping a friend who just got the game and the battery is dead and starting to leak so definitely want to get rid of it and do a remote battery, I looked on the schematics and didn't see where it lists it and there aren't really any numbers on it, I assume it's a 3.6v rechargeable battery or is there a better fix.
Thanks so much for your help

it is rechargeable. I modded those with lithium batteries years ago. there's a resistor (R29) immediately after the + pad that you have to replace with a diode.

EDIT: I found the better pictures. I neglected to mention you have to drill a hole for the - leg of the lithium battery holder in the ground trace. you can see how ripped up this board got from the battery leakage.

the sanded portion is where I drilled the hole for the - side of the holder in the ground trace.

it's not my most elegant engineering but what I do know is it worked.

Thanks for the reply and pictures, Do you know what diode I would need to use if we went this route
