Hi,

I am setting myself up for debugging 2 Punch Out PCBs and 1 PC10. There are multiple +5V and GND connections when you look at the Pinouts

https://www.mikesarcade.com/cgi-bin/spies.cgi?action=url&type=pinout&page=Punchout.html

I have a newbie question. Do you guys connect all the +5V (pins 15-16-17-18) and GND to your switching power supply ? I checked to continuity with my DMM and all the +5V are connected together. Same for the GND.

I am wondering if connecting only one 5V pin and one GND would be sufficient.

How do you do it ?

think about it as a jamma harness
when u hook them up all +5 go to power supply
same as ground (expect the thin ones which run out to controls)
-5 same way
+12v all go to power supply
reason is simple
(better handling of the current involved)
