Before I seem ungrateful! (My weekend pickup)

Big thanks to DPTWiz and JPopson for my minty Ms Pac cabinet that I picked up yesterday afternoon. I was the last person to order one before the project to reproduce them was canceled.

Unfortunately I had a plumbing issue to fix when I got home and didn't even get her unwrapped. I will get her unveiled tonight and take some pics for everyone.

Look for an edit here later tonight.....

I'm not familiar with this project. What stage of completeness is this cab in? Is it stenciled? I'm guessing it's a repro right? Anyway the cab looks amazing.

Yeah Gatordad got one back in March. DPTwiz and Jpopson were going to offer Ms Pac, Burgertime and a couple others, repro Birch cabs with the artwork stenciled.

She is ready, I just need to get my existing wiring moved over.

That looks great! The only thing that doesn't make sense is you talking about the project being cancelled, and yet you have one.

As far as I know, mine was the last one (I ordered it in March)

Sorry, the cancelled made it sound like it was not going to happen. So you got your order in before the offer ended.... Either way very nice Ms. Pac. :D

Why would they cancel making something like this it's money in the bank!QUOTE=rturb0;1384912]Big thanks to DPTWiz and JPopson for my minty Ms Pac cabinet that I picked up yesterday afternoon. I was the last person to order one before the project to reproduce them was canceled.

yeah, it did look nice! Makes me nervous having them near me, always afraid something or someone is gonna bump into it and mess it up! It was a price point that John decided he couldn't do it any more. i was discounting the cabinets to 300.00 and John was painting them for 250.00 for a total of 550.00 After doing the first one, he really looked at total cost - primer, paint, clearcoat, sandpaper, tac cloths, stencil material, - Total cost in material to stencil is almost 190.00 per game. That means for all Johns work, he was making 70.00 for 3 full days of work.

I totally understand his not wanting to work for 2.00 an hour. He may do more, but with a price that makes it worth the effort it takes to make something that awesome. If anyone here bought stencils and all the paint supplies, they'd easily have over 300.00 in materials, plus all the time and effort, and you have to take into consideration the John rents his workshop, and he has to pay electricity and heat on top that too. I'm sure he'll post when he decides what he wants to do. I know he's painting my robotron REAL soon, i miss playing it!

Beautiful cabinet and beautiful paint job. Having stenciled some cabs, I can understand not being able to offer them at that price point. $550 for that cab is a great price.

That looks great! You now have a great basis for a mid-school build.
Spray bomb it black with K-Mart's cheapest paint and throw a Rush N' Attack kit in there.

Pure 80's love! ;)

HAHHAAHAHAH!!! Nice! :rofl::lmao:

Edit: I have a Rush'N'Attack board I could let go cheap for this project. Not for sale otherwise, but glad to contribute to the greater good. Heheh.

Yeah at $550, I would buy them all day long :)

BTW big thanks to DPTWiz for throwing in the coin basket and cab handles!

I tested my multipac wiring setup last night and it's ready to go. The problem now is to find a CP and Bezel worthy of such a cabinet. The one's I have look like trash in a perfect specimen like that.

Arcadeshop has them for $28.
