Hey guys, I wonder what is happening. I have a asteriods that I turned on (After working fine for years) and it just beeps...Nothing on the moniter, and full volume beeping at the rate of about 2 per second. Whats going on? What should I test?

Thanks guys in advance.

Possibly put into self-test mode and see if anything comes on screen then.
The tones could indicate bad RAM. You'll have to listen carefully at the number of tones and the pitch of the tones. (high or low pitch)
These procedures are listed in the manual.

I'd start by re-seating any socketed chips and connectors.
And check power supply/ARII board as already mentioned.

The last time something like that happened to me it was days after I reseated some chips and I had left a pin outside socket.

Is it the watchdog barking? You could try disabling the watchdog and see if it makes any difference.

I unplugged the door harness, thinking that would eliminate the watchdog switch.

I dunno. I'll send the board out and see what it costs to fix.
