Battlezone pickup

FYI - BattleZone is a Golden Age game and not Bronze. :big_boss:

"The golden age also saw developers experimenting with vector displays, which produce crisp lines that can't be duplicated by raster displays. A few of these vector games became great hits, such as 1979's Asteroids, 1980's Battlezone, 1981's Tempest and 1983's Star Wars from Atari. However, vector technology fell out of favor with arcade game companies due to the high cost of repairing vector displays."

NOTE: Wikipedia is only one of many sites and opinions as to when the Golden Age was current.

It's still a good pickup.

Missing the right control stick, but the button is there.

Does it have holes (or not?) Log it in the Battlezone Holes thread.

And it has the STEP - Priceless!

I'm happy you got this. Good for you - Bronze Age or Not!

I didn't pay much attention. They can move it if they like.

Nice score. Where'd you get it?

I stopped looking for local pickups a couple of years ago, when things mostly dried up. Good to know there are still decent finds out there.

As for troubleshooting, it's going to be all the same vector stuff you're used to from Asteroids.

I have been watching that one for the last week or so, just don't have room for anything else at the moment, glad someone grabbed it.

I'll look at that thread. Just the plastic is broken.

It was on Facebook market place. I had been watching it for a few weeks. They had it listed for $600 and dropped it to $400 over the weekend. Drove down to Pawtucket RI this morning. Palce is called Electromagnetic Pinball Museum. I guess for $10 you can play all the games you want. I was a bit surprised that it hadn't sold.

No holes in this one. Not sure of the serial number, the take is torn. I assume they didn't put it anywhere else.

I saw that on Marketplace. The price was right, but I'm out of space right now. What the hell is up with the coin door??

Battlezones never have cabinet serial numbers on the boards.

You won't see this because you have be blocked, but this is yet another piece of wrong info from you.
I had a question mark above my head about this one. Yet again, how does someone claim to be a serial number "on the boards sometimes"? It makes no sense! You would think serial numbers would be on every board if the company chose to do so.

I wish there was another serial number, I'd like to know it, just for my information.
