Damnit... Battlezone is acting up a little... again.
First off...there is a minor "shake" that is happening to the "extra tanks" images pretty much constantly...and the score area as well from time to time. The rest of the image is stable. Not a big deal frankly... but I figured I'd mention it.
Now the bigger potential problem is that I just played and when I lost my final guy the usual high score music played then screen went ape shit... it showed like 8 extra men across the top right... the main "green" screen area was blank...but then showed 1/4 of the screen only...and the audio was making strange computer sounds... I power cycled and the attract came up as usual and the game plays as usual.
I suspect this is a power issue. What am I safe at running the mainboard voltage at? I ask because the mainboard seems to get about .2 volts more than the aux. board. I meter the mainboard at 5.05 and the aux board is at 4.85... I suspect this low voltage at the aux board is what caused the issue, but who knows. Can I run the mainboard at 5.2v to get the aux voltage up to 5v?
