Not mine, but a fellow Klover. This is a b/w monitor.

Game plays blind. We powered up the monitor. Neck glow was present. Static on screen present. I did not hear/sense the high voltage power up. screen did not get f;ash of any kind. I let him take over thread as replies come in.

Thanks,
Kevin

Spot killer on?

Has this monitor ever worked in this BZ?

Has this BZ ever worked with a different monitor?

I think there is a fuse in the HV cage. Have you checked that? Any other fuses bad?

Is brightness or contrast turned up? See a tiny spot in the middle of the screen even if spot killer is on and brightness turned all the way up?

Getting any voltage swing on the X/Y outputs on the game pcb?

There, that'll give your guy some questions to answer...

Not there to tell you, lol. Gregafree stated he will pop on and read the thread and reply. I was just getting it started for him :)

First thing (as Mod asked), is the sopt killer on? Check all the fuses on the deflection board....there's like 4-5...IIRC.

Hope you don't mind me putting this here, but I have a very similar situation. We have a BZ upright that I have only looked quickly at and it has almost the same symptoms...

-Plays blind.
-Neck does glow.
-Spot killer is OFF.
-Brightness and contrast don't seem to do anything.
-Monitor PCB has been cap-kit'd and connections re-soldered.
-XY chatter can be heard from monitor.

I did have blooming before the monitor died so I'm thinking maybe the HV diode? Any thing else to check with those symptoms?

Thanks in advance,
Jeff

Check the 150 volt line.

Just played around with our BZ last night and wanted to say the HV diode was the problem in our case.
