My battlezone went down..

Here are the results from the test mode.

DATA ERROR HIGH BYTE.

I was thinking power supply problem.

The game boots, but when you coin it up, you cant start a game.

after a bit, a green dot appears in the middle of the screen with the other game graphics.

I was think about getting a high score save kit, would that help with the error.

Also i am going to reseat the chips/connectors.

thanks
chris

H is caused from the Aux board. HS kit will not correct this.

Several things can cause this, most likely causes and easy fixes are

1. You need to re-flow the solder on header pins
2. You need to carefully remove, clean and reseat all of the Proms
3. You need to carefully remove, clean and reseat all of the ALU's

A couple of other things to add to what Talon2000 said.

-carefully check your interconnect wires visually. My original one had a couple of the wires broken off of (and very nearly so) the pins inside the connector.

-make sure you've got good power on the aux board. Power comes from the edge connector (not the interconnect).

fixed

2. Check the connections on the inter connect cable- some loose too.
3. Replaced black light bulb- cleaned and adjusted the monitor.

FIXED!

last thing i need to do is replace the rubber step mat .

Not sure where to find that yet.

Thanks for all the help.
