Coming up to restoring the BZ CP. Man, almost every one of these plastic controls are busted. Or missing. I'm missing the Atari Start button and I'm thinking it uses the short cone? So if anyone has one of these please let me know.
I'll be posting some pics probably tonight. I am ordering a $15 plug for one of the joysticks, well maybe not - from Ramcontrols. (seems Starwars stopped all other development)
And probably end up ordering new bellows from wizzes workshop. I have only 1.
Also going to need a CPO.
Actually wondering if I'd be much better off just buying another CP off ebay for the parts. 2 of the 4 legs on both control handle bezels are broken off. Seems I'm also missing both nylon actuator balls and springs BALLS!

If Mylstar doesn't carry the LED Atari buttons for the cones on his site, I know that Riptor does. I got some from him last week.

I have used and NOS LED buttons. NOS are not listed but I have them in very small qty's.I even have NOS BZ fire buttons in limited qty.

lol, well thanks. I had no idea the left and right sticks were valued that highly. Maybe I'd better clean and fix up what I can. Do you have any pics of these 'nylon balls' and the springs? I've updated my site with a few shots of what I have at www.zinfer.com/battlezone.htm
I'm not seeing these balls and springs at all. I must be missing them, and I only have 1 grommet.
So basically I guess I need:
1x Start button
1x Cone (not sure if long or short on battlezone)
1x Blank for top of left joystick
2x Centering Grommets (bellows)
2x control handle bezels
2x Nylon Balls and springs?
1x Switch Actuator pin
1x CP Overlay
I think that would get me up and running. I'm hoping the fire button still works on the right stick, but it's there. Honestly I think the harder parts to find are going to be the nylon balls and springs. I'll continue searching here.
Like I said, I might be better off just finding a complete cp.

I'm thinking I'm going to have to find a couple ball bearings of the size that would fit the Battlezone stick/spring channel.

Yea I just ran the numbers. I'm looking at 40.00 just in parts before shipping. And that's without the nylon balls, the joystick bezels, the centering grommets. I'm going to have to buy a CPO in either case so I'll keep that seperate. Mylstar has a nice source of spares, but there's just so darned many I'm missing or need replaced.

Don't go at it backwards. Buy a complete control panel and use the one you have for parts.
