Can someone confirm the correct colour of the BZ cabaret perspex? I'm thinking it's a bronze/brown tint rather than grey?

Thanks!

Do we know if it's different from the upright (open face)? Obviously the size is different, but I'm referring to the tint.

I just checked my open-face plexi, and it does appear to have a brownish hue. Hard to describe or measure, but just holding it up to the light shows a goldish-brown color. Just in case you are able to find some documented value for that, it may be similar to the cabaret. (Or would at least likely be close.)

It is bronze. Don't know the exact shade, I took mine into TAP Plastics & they cut me a new one on the spot.

I'm also trying to figure out the plexi color for my BZ cabaret. The previous owner didn't have the cardboard bezel for it so he just dropped in really dark piece of smoked glass. It looks fine like that, but I did finally get the cardboard bezel from Szabo's and I want to get it as close to original as possible.

I looked at some bronze plexi examples online and have narrowed it down to two choices. Based on the photographs of games I've seen online, I'm not sure which bronze tint looks more accurate. Are there any other Battlezone Cabaret owners that have any thoughts on this or maybe someone who has a color code if I go to a glass shop?

I got home today and the Szabo's cardboard cabaret bezel was at the door, they quoted a 6-8 week wait time and it arrived exactly in 6 weeks.

I'm also in need of the plexi, I had thought it was clear since there is no black light effect on the cabaret.

I've had a wanted ad listed for the metal plexi retaining angle bracket that I'm missing but no luck so far and I don't think I'll find one. I'll probably have to make one out of 1/16" 90 angle and rig something up to bend it to around 70 degrees.

Is this what you're looking for?

Update. The 2412 plexi that I ordered arrived today and its definitely darker than it looks on the website. I don't think it's too far off though. A little bit lighter and it would probably be dead on. I still need to make monitor adjustments and get the cardboard bezel stapled down.

Have you seen a lighter bronze tinted plexi available anywhere?

Several of the websites I looked at had the same three available; 2404, 2412, and 2370.

Looking at some different photos on eplastics.com, maybe the 2404 was the way to go instead of the 2412 that I got?

I'm sure there are other shades available besides those three.

Did you order a custom cut, or a standard dimension that you trimmed down yourself? The part where it says Cut Tolerance +0" -.25" concerned me -- being a quarter of an inch off either way would require trimming anyway.

I ordered the 18" x 24" sheet and requested it to be cut down. I added a tiny bit in each direction to the original measurement and it came out perfect.

I was concerned with it being cut a 1/4" too short because of the width of the blade. My old glass measured 18 13/16" wide X 13 11/16" tall, but I asked for the final dimensions to be 18 7/8" Wide X 13 3/4" Tall. Mine fit great, but you could always lightly sand the wood inside the cabinet I suppose if it's a little too snug. Obviously measure your cabinet's specific interior dimensions as I'm sure there are going to be slight differences based on location, humidity, swelling, etc.
