I was wondering if anyone knew anything, or had any pics, of this game:

http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?game_id=7057

I have been a fan of the Battletech game/universe since FASA first released Battledroids. I never heard of there ever being an arcade game (closest thing I can think of are the old Virtual World locations). Any info would be great!

Thanks & take care!

Those are not the same ones...

However, I have played those Battletech pods before and they are fun as hell when you have a group of friends and rent them out for a few hours

Wow, thanks for the info everyone!

Yeah, there was a Virtual World in the city next to where I grew up. That was a blast when you had a group of friends playing. Very true to the tabletop game. Funny to see your bubby hoping around on one leg when his other one was blown off! Wish they were still around.

So I wonder if an UR was ever made? Or is the KLOV listing refering to the Virtual World pods?
Of couse, it would be cool as hell to have one of those pods in your gameroom.

Wow..Thread ressurection.

If anyone has any questions about the BattleTech cockpits, I can probably help answer them.

I own Virtual World Entertainment (The original BattleTech pod maker and the BattleTech Center operator in Chicago)

I have a set of 8 of the current version (Tesla II) here at my house in Kalamazoo, MI that we let people play for free a few times a year.

We still sell (broker) and support all of the cockpits still operating worldwide. We also have a next generation system in development.

I'd love to share info about this system and how concepts invented for our system and centers in the early nineties have become commonplace in the current gaming world.

Oh, the Tsumo (Tsunami) bubble pods at CEC were not ours. We did the cockpits featured at Virtual World Centers, and later Dave and Busters until 2005. Now they are operating as private sets of in family entertainment venues around the country.

There were several generations, I'll post details on those soon.

Damn, I played the set at D&B in San Jose at the Great Mall. Those were FUN!

I mopped the floor with those folks I was playing against and I never played before... well... I did have a ton of hours in on the PC version of the Battletech game. ;)

My strategy was to find two people face to face duking it out and do center chest shots or head shots on each one from a side angle and take them both out. :D

I had a B.O.T.S.S. up until 2004. It was MINTY. At the time I lived in an apartment...3rd floor.

Crazier times.

So can you reveal anything about the next gen application for this? I have heard of these BattleTech pods before but have never seen one in person.

Will you be bringing the pods down to GenCon in Indianapolis again next month? Loved having you there last year!

Yes we are, we will be bringing 12 again.

I just got home from the GenCon logistics planning meeting.

We need someone to videotape the process some day. If people knew how complicated our operation was to take on the road......Then MORE people would know we are nuts.

I can talk in general, but we are still doing feasibility testing for some particular technological elements.

That and trying to get better pricing for our Infinity Optics systems.
