I'm not Nick , but I'll give my opinion anyway. I preordered it from amazon and you get a $20 credit toward a future game purchase if you do. I think you still may be able to get that deal if you order soon. I know some people were still getting the credit when ordering this morning. Only downside is you have to wait for shipping.
I played the demo quite a bit on PS3 and thought it was great. If you like FPS games like the modern warfare series then you will like Battlefield. Some people actually like it better than MW2. Since Modern Warfare 2 was the best selling game of all time I will compare it to that based on my time with the demo version. BF2 has much bigger maps than MW2 which in my opinion is good. There are also a number of vehicles you can drive in game. Just off the top of my head there are tanks, helicopters, a UAV mini-chopper, armored vehicles, and my favorite...ATV's. There may be more vehicles available in the full game. Upgrade your weapons and unlock new ones with XP points. Pick a kit (medic, engineer, recon, etc) and by playing you will upgrade the weapons and abilities for that kit. You can also pick up other people's "kits" when they die. There is also a way to "spot" enemies with a red arrow over there head for everyone on your team to see and you will get XP points if they are killed. I really like the "spotting" feature. Overall it's much more team oriented than MW2.
From what I read the single player will also be great. Though I typically play strictly online with friends and the demo was only online multiplayer so i can't comment myself on the single player mode. This is a very good game though. It does take some getting used to at first to figure out what is going on, but once you play a few matches you should enjoy it. I'd say it is right up there with MW2, yet diehard MW2 players won't give this game a second look. But that's fine by me. Because personally I'm tired of all the camping, glitching, internet tough guys that play MW2 for a living.
I'd say GO GET IT NOW JOW!
