Battlefeild 3 tommorrow!!!!

I loaded up my PC copy of Battlefield 3 yesterday, and - holy hell, what a terrible experience for a new release game. And the web interface is a steaming pile.

The game itself is brilliant... but the pain to get into it is something appalling.

First - Had to install Origin... had to retrieve my EA login details... Then Origin had to patch itself. After Origin restarted, the installer wouldn't continue (kept trying to launch Origin and telling me it was already running), and wouldn't run again until I quit Origin completely... Then I had to authenticate the game... Download a 500MB patch! Then it wouldn't let me start it until midnight when the game was 'officially' released... Then it diverts you to a web site where you have to install a browser plug-in for Battlelog or you can't even start the game... So the server browser is all web based, and is HORRIBLE... Then FINALLY starting the game I get a warning my video card drivers weren't up to date... Then it starts into ANOTHER menu...

What a complete joke. Why do games companies like EA and Ubisoft have to put their customers through so much pain? It's an online game, it requires a legitimate key to play, surely that's enough copy protection? The single player game is simply a demo for the main game, which is the online multiplayer. Why do I have to install all this cr@p...

It is so good , I was worried about this one after there were some problems internally with infinity ward.
It has the same awesome feel as MW2 with a ton more content.
