Bored and going through forums found a thread someone looking for battletoads..
i guess that had their need met, but someone in 2005 mentioned over a hundred on this board really??..

its a fun game, One of the recent batch i bought which works perfectly.
I am just wondering if anyone is still a fan of this one or looking for it..
i bought about 8 or so boards from a local place closing shop. all they had left. And so far battle toads is like a champ, Others are sound issues, but play. i dunno, i am getting what I can as a newbie to the arcade game thing. and just having fun, and trying to do so on no budget =)
Any suggestions for storing multiple boards?.
some of them were tossed in a box and not carefully.
I have them all seprate around my machine now for testing.
I know one board i need to solder back on a cap lead which came off from
another board smacking it..

but back to subject on hand, battle toads..
value today?

As far as board storage goes, there's ample discussion on it here:

No idea about battletoads price personally, it's not one on the list of games I keep an eye on, I think I remember it being mentioned as fairly hard to find working before. Don't take that as fact, I'll defer to someone who is familiar with the market for that particular game.

I think Battletoads is a pretty cool game. I played one a few years ago for the first time in this Chucky Cheese type place that some lady opened up.

They don't seem to come up that often anymore. I would love to pick one up also but just never have the cash when one does go up for sale. I have seen them sell for $50 and I have seen them sell for $120... and anywhere in between. My buddy actually sold his pcb with a marquee for $50 awhile back which I wish I had known about because that was a good price on it. I guess I see them right around $100 a lot but that doesn't mean they always sell at that price.

I used to play this at the one of laundry mats in winona MN sweet game wonder if its still there. I loved the nintendo version to although it was hard as fuck. Its emulated perfectly in mame no need for the boards however if a full gam presented itself I would probaly try to get it.

cool

Cool. Its actually a funny one to play i just discovered and ive seen worse games lolol..
Its one of the loudest boards i plugged in most have volume but this one i swear was set to senior center hearing levels. :)

My son is addicted to the game in MAME. He usually tires of games after about a month but this one he hasn't. I'd love to find a dedicated Battle Toads, not that it's a particularly special cab but it would be cool for him to have "his own" arcade game.

I would have to agree with you on that the NES version was really hard and it came out during the TMNT craze so it road that popularity wave. I like the game want to get a copy of it some day but I'm sure not going to be putting out $100 just for the PCB. I think I might put out that much for GI Joe otherwise I will never get one.

Hell Yeah... they even teamed with the 2 guys from Double Dragon to kick some ass!! :p

The only problem with 2 players on the NES is that it was basically Suicide Because of the difficulty factor of the game LOL. MY brother and cousin use to play it a lot and could get really far with 2 players not impossible to do but frustrating.

I bought my Battletoards pcb a few years back for $20 on eBay. It's a fun game and I prefer it over the NES version myself.

I do as well the arcade version is a lot easier and got away with a lot more than the NES version could. When playing the arcade version I remember you can grab an enemy by the nuts and punch the hell out of them. I think you could also punch them in the nuts its been a few years since I played the game will have to load it up on MAME LOL.
