Does anyone here own one? I was wondering about the game play. I know of a guy selling one but he live far away and doesn't know anything about the game. Someone left it in a house he rents out. He says it works. Or it least it turns on. He later says. Hmm? Any info would be great.

It's ok, nice artwork and look, decent graphics, gameplay gets old after awhile though.

There is a shaker motor in the periscope that seems prone to fail.

Did I mention it has cool artwork?

Very cool looking cab, although very bulky. Think I could probably fit two battlezones into one. Not a bad game. My buddy has one that is really nice, I've kicked around the idea of bringing to my arcade, then common sense kicks in. I'd hate to move that bastard.

I'd say if you can get it cheap, buy it. It definetly helps round out the different styles of gameplay in a private arcade.

Hey, thanks for the Youtube link. I didn't think of looking there. Game play looks kinda of silly. I guess I will have to pass on this one. I can get it for $100 if anyone is interested. I just talked to him and he said the shaker motor works.

I loved Battle Shark in the arcades. Very neat periscope setup & I liked the gameplay.

MAME doesn't quite emulate the periscope controls correctly, darnit.

If I could get one for $100 that looked good and worked, I'd get it. But that's only if I had the space. If memory serves right there's alot of levels, some taking place above the water.

I bought mine for C$125 or C$150 (I forgot ... was a number of years ago) fully working with beautiful sideart (the best part of the cab, IMO).

I'm with AR -- game play does get a bit dull after a while, but since the flyback on mine blew the kids have been complaining about it. They love the periscope, force feedback and flashing lights.

It's not a keeper, but it is worth having, if only for a while and at the right price.

This was the first game I ever bought. I liked it for a while, but the gameplay does get kinda old. I think I also liked the cabinet more than the game, which is why it got sold.
