What and where can i get a replacement battery for my granny and the gators

what mpu does it use?

most kits have a diode (to stop power from trying to charge your non-rechargable replacment battery) and either "AA" battery holder with wires you then solder on.. same issue can still corrode. the other option is adding a small 3v lithium battery and holder... same idea with the diode. Allows the battery to power the memory stuff but wont let power try to charge the non chargable battery.

all depends on what mpu you use

THis is a good read. http://users.erols.com/mowerman/webbat.htm

WHy not just use another nicad??? because in a couple years, you will be right back in the same situation.

If this is a -17 or -35 mpu, then this may be the way to go. Put it on, no ore need for an external battery.

Will this battery leak, and should be replaced?
From the pic you must wonder if the board works.
It works great! It is an MPU from a Granny and the Gators.
Thank You.

thats some sort of rechargable battery, so wether its nicad or nimh, yeah someday it will puke again.

It looks like it has been replaced recently, probhbly the same time the board was repaired.
