Edit: I think I figured it out, it seems the ball was probably jumping over the switch after going up the ramp. I re-worked and lowered the plastic piece that sits over the ramp and switch, and afterward every time I hit the ramp it registered. I'm going to have to play some more to declare it 100% fixed but it seems to be working much better than before.
Hi all, I'm the owner of a Batman Forever pin since last Thursday. It is a nice machine and 100% working...but...there's always a but. The mini ramp (also called U-turn) switch doesn't always register the ball passing through. When running a switch test in the Portals mode, the switch always works properly. I can trigger it with quickly and with light pressure and it always works fine. But it seems like during a game when the ball goes through forcefully it often doesn't register.
I'm at a loss for what is going on. Could the ball be going through hard enough that it is jumping over the switch after going up the ramp? Is there something else I should be looking for?
I have also noticed that sometimes the third lane sensor for the "T" also doesn't trigger when a ball passes through, but this is much less common. I did see that this switch is on the same row as the switch for the mini ramp. Unrelated?
