I hardly see this discussed... Maybe because some would put it in the same category of a crane machine and other redemption games?

Anyone else a fan of the non arcade Basketball games with the 4 balls and moving hoop? Do any of you own one?

Full court frenzy II by ice is the best basketball game. The hoop moves forward and back AND also rotates. 3 player selectable game options: basketball moves every 5 seconds, or basket moves after each made basket, or basket is stationary then moves further back during final seconds. In all 3 games baskets are worth two points and any basket made in the final ten seconds is a three pointer. The game has speech and even plays the "hey" song sample during attract mode.

The big downside is that the machine is a beast to move and you need 9 ft to set it up full height. And yes, I am a biased owner :)

I'd kill for a Rage in the cage, the one that gave you an NBA mini ball if you got a high score.

Dude that one was awesome!

I never see any of these for sale. I cant remember ANY auction I have seen any of these at. Are these still big money makers and hard to come by?

Do you guys see these types for sale?

Ha! I got one of the first protos back in the day and liaised with Betson on problems with vending those prizes. For my money, I think Super Shot was the best machine made, very reliable, linkable and has, I believe, 4 game variations.

Do you guys see these for sale very often? I have to admit I havent been looking I was just thinking I have never seen one in an auction setting or craigslist for that matter.

You never see them for sale because they still work 20 years later. I have one that is an A or A- Like gutz says though they are super heavy and hard to move. Once on location, that's usually where they stay until they die. I also agree that super shot is good machine.

I love these machines, but rarely seem them come up for sale & don't know anyone into collecting who has one. I don't think they show up in collector circles much because they're huge and still make a profit on location. I play them every chance I get.

I like the simpler ones, with the smaller basketballs, where you just bomb for straight points. But I imagine moving backboard etc keep it fresh if you have one in a personal collection.

I don't recall playing Super Shot in the arcade, just Rage in the Cage. I never even won a mini ball out of one, but the ones at Tilt in Albany were linked and I had a blast playing those with my brother and friends. I can't even remember what score you had to get to win one of the balls, but man it'd be a blast to own one.

Damn thing had to be at least ten feet long.

Yeah, they are huge. It cracks me up when someone cries about an oversized UR being so big and heavy... These are over 9' tall and weigh 980lbs. I think they're 13' long, too. It's a monster, but yeah, so simple and fun. I've only seen 1 auction that was selling them and they had 4 and I only had room for 1 :( But they went for like $200 each.

I love those games. If I could I would have one of those beside my skee ball machine. I have space length wise but not the height I need in my house.

Funny story my neighbor bought one of the really cheap ones from walmart. He saw how much his kids like it so he bought a brand new arcade basketball game (can't remember the brand). He had it delivered to his house and they sat the packing crates in his driveway. I remember his face looking at them and the oh crap what am I doing to do with this. His basement had 10ft ceilings so he was able to get it setup. I helped him move it down. He said if I ever sale this house the new owners are getting a basketball game lol.

I had about 15 ICE's NBA Hoops, 4 SkeeBall SuperShots, a few Ice Mini Dunxx about 9 months ago at my job's auction (Incredible Pizza Co.) in Oklahoma City.
Parts for the SuperShot are extremely expensive.

I had a Williams Hot Shot basketball game a few years back. Sister game to Slugfest pitch & bat, it also dispenses sports cards. I kinda miss it, now that I have more room for games. I sold it for $675 in 2013. Runs on the WPC pinball boardset so they tend to get parted out.

Here's a video review I did of it:
