I will be hosting a basic troubleshooting session this Sunday (Edited: I meant next Sunday due to this Sunday being Easter) at my house. KatanaJoe has made a verbal commitment so far; if you would like to attend PM me and I will give you more information. This class will cover basic electronics, circuits, quick short cuts, etc.. We will probably gut a couple of my cab's, clean them, and re-install the components while learning/teaching what they do, and why they do it. Basically, it will be a fundamentals course. If you are interested let me know.

Sounds like a fun time and if I werent so far away I would be there too BUT.....you do know that sunday is Easter right. That might keep a few people away that might want to be there.

LOL. Shows how much I pay attention to the date. Looks like I might have to move it to the Sunday after. Thanks for the heads up...Too funny

Hmm. Invite a bunch of people over on the pretense of "teaching" them arcade repair with the promise of getting to "gut a couple cabs, clean them, and reinstall the components". Sounds like a BRILLIANT way to get a bunch of games in the garage fixed quickly. :D

I know a couple locals have suggested I hold a monitor repair party. It would be a fun way to get a bunch of monitor chassis' repaired, huh?

If that is what you think it is going to be, then why don't you come and see for yourself. I am genuinely trying to help those who don't know much about their games. I gut, clean, and repair my games anyway, by myself, and I learn something new everytime. It is a friendly offer to come help and learn, not a come and do my work for me invite.

In all actuality, this topic has been thrown around a few times on these forums and no one has stepped up to take it on.

Thanks for the support.

Don't get upset. The smiley meant I was kidding. Sheesh.

If I was local, I might've stopped by. Although I'd be more interested in the "advanced" classes myself. I'm pretty well versed on the basics, but wouldn't mind someone showing me how to use a logic analyzer, among other things...

Oh, sorry. I took it like someone told me "fuck you", but the smile on their face while saying it made it okay. I guess you really didn't mean it...I hope. :)

I, also, would like to attend advanced classes. I looked for some at my local community colleges, but the nearest one to is a hour drive. Sucks.
