Basic Nudging Skills

Hello Klov'ers. I threw together a basic nudging skills video, which is based on my observations of some really good players in the local leagues.

Cool, because if there's anything I understand less about pinball than pinball repair, it's nudging. I swear every time it's sitting on the edge of the drain, I always DO IT WRONG. :p

Frax, once the ball is "settling" in the in/outlane area, it's very tough to save and somewhat up to chance. You want to avoid that scenario as much as possible in the first place by nudging the ball out of that area entirely using the top of the sling or the inlane post rubber.

Yes, "the ball is wild" to some degree when doing so, but it's still a more favorable situation than having the ball bouncing around those posts.

Great video thanks!!

So...I should think about it as moving the playfield around the ball? Like,
when the ball is near an outlane, I push the machine forward to kick the
ball with something on the playfield, like a post.

I'm such a pinball novice that I have never started to delve into nudging. I'm looking forward to watching your video when I have a few extra minutes. Thanks!
