Help with Street Fighter 2 cabinet.

Hi guys. I'm pretty new to the arcade scene. I have a Street Fighter 2 Champion Edition cabinet I bought a couple years ago. I want to swap out the board for a Turbo Edition eventually if I can, but currently I want to replace the crappy sticks and buttons. Looking at it I don't really know how to do this. There is a plexiglass like cover over the controls and this is secured by some kind of push down screw. Can someone tell me how to remove this without breaking anything? Here is a link to a gigantic picture of the controls: http://my.picresize.com/L8RTQKKE2Q Thanks!

Reach in through the coin door. There should be some latches holding the CP down. Once unlatched it will either come off or flip forward on a hinge.

Thanks! Ok so I want to put in full Sanwa. OBSF's and JLF's. Everything in here appears to be Happ. I figure I can just dremel out the plexiglass for the buttons a little bit to pop them in. I hooked one in to test it and it worked no problem. The joystick seems to be a whole other monster. The size difference between Happ and Sanwa JLF is pretty big. Does anyone know if I would need some sort of adapter or anything, or is that kind of a mod just too much of a hassle to do?

Also, I would love to get Super Street Fighter II Turbo for this cabinet. Is it a simple switch or does it require a lot? Can I just buy the board and plug it in? I saw some pictures somewhere of a couple different Super Turbo boards. One of them looked like what my Champion Edition board looks like; a giant pcb. I saw another Super Turbo that looked like those other Jamma boards that come in a blue or green plastic case. I've seen people selling like an A and a B board for those. Would even those work in my cabinet with a harness or something? Does anyone know where I could buy a Super Turbo board and what the general price is for one?

I'm sorry for my lack of knowledge in this field. I came across my cabinet a couple years ago on craigslist for $250, and I'm a pretty big Street Fighter fan. I've always dreamed of having an arcade, but don't know any of the technical stuff. My cabinet has just been sitting for a while now due to crappy controls, so I'm trying to get it in good playing condition and maybe upgrade to the better version if possible. The screen occasionally bounces up or down very slightly. Is that an expensive fix?

I came across this on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/Street-Fighter-...&otn=2&po=LVI&ps=63&clkid=9090033609014503534

Would this work for my setup? I remember reading a while back that generally people puts auctions up like this because they are broken boards. Is that the norm in this hobby? Is it possible to get a board fixed? If so what is the cost? Who does this kind of repairs? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Why are you wanting to switch to sanwa hardware again?

If you cabinet is wired for JAMMA (which it should be), then you can use the CPS2 games (blue and green boxes).

Monitor repair is a completely different animal. You will very quickly learn that repairs in this hobby mean you either spend a lot of money getting someone to fix it for you, or you spend a lot of time learning how to be a TV repairman yourself.

How do I figure out what my cabinet is wired for? I took a picture of my board.

I am switching to Sanwa because I prefer it. Sanwa is what most fighting game players prefer. Well that or Seimitsu. I don't like the concave buttons either. Blech.

What's a good place to learn about the monitor aspect of this hobby?
