Basement stairs?

I don't have a basement, but if you're taking about decorating the walls of the stairwell, I know I've seen guys in here just put up posters, signs and/or marquees.

If you have the funds, I vote 2-story elevator. :)

I've always wanted to do mine like the Carbon Freezing Chamber...but that might have to wait for the attic home theater ;)

The best thing to do with your basement stairs is straighten them out. When I finished my basement, I had mine straightened to make moving stuff up and down really easy!!!!

If your looking for some artwork ideas, do a Donkey Kong girder all the way down, have DK at the top with the girl throwing barrels, Mario in the middle jumping or smashing with a hammer, and a barrel at the bottom with a fireball coming up. Do a black wall with black-light reactive colors for the art, and install some blacklight in the stairwell...

Paint everything black, wax them up real good and take away the handrails. Then going downstairs can be a fun game too :) Cover the walls with artwork or a giant arrow covering vitually the whole wall with the word arcade in it painted on the wall that points into your arcade.

hmm I like this idea! that would look pretty cool!

Take out the stairs and put in a fire pole. Getting downstairs to the game room will now be easy and fun. Going up...not so much. The bonus is the fire pole could double as a stripper pole.
