I have recently been able to clear some unwanted items from my basement and hate the positioning of my games. I need to find time to get into google sketch and measure everything out... in the meantime I was looking for some recommendations on game layout.

There are some dips in ceiling which kinda prevent me from moving Time Crisis in other locations and some other protrusions in the wall. I have a few more in garage I may bring inside... specifically my Area 51 and battletoads. I was thinking of putting the Area 51 in the vacant spot in the corner but it prevents me from putting other machines on the wall adjacent. How do people angle there machined for corners?

I am trying to keep my theater room in tact with the exception of leaving the Ms pac and galaga over there (Although I really like the lineup with galaga, ms pac, and super pac)

Suggestions PLEASE! Thanks!

Its a work in progress... making a moonwalker CP right now and will be converting

There is a freeware program called SweetHome 3D that works great for layouts. You can import most of the sketchup files Gozer did and there are tons of libraries of different pieces of furniture and things to play with. When you have everything laid out, you can make a walkthrough movie. I used it when we were laying out The Game Preserve and it really helped.

Just google "SweetHome3D" or go to (www.sweethome3d.com) to down load it.

Disclaimer: I don't get any commission or have any skin in the game. I just like this app.

Let me know DJ and I'll come by some time and check it out if you like, maybe we can brainstorm, lol

Ill have to take you up on that! These pics are old I will have to update with new setup and games... had more games in garage at the time wanted to rearrange to fit more of them in. TMNT is getting new sideart but I have both XMEN and a turtles cab. One will probably be up for sale soon no need for both.

I tried sketchup but just didnt get in to it... I need to revisit that when I have time to learn the program.

Thanks Ken I will check out the sweethome3d app!

I know this might be hard to do but you might want to lose the big screen TV and chair in the middle of the room along with cabinets and shelves. If your gonna make this a dedicated arcade with full sized vids getting rid of everything that interfears with floor space is important. If you want accessable TV id consider putting in smaller LCD TV's on the wall near the cieling and spread out so you can view them from multiple corners like a sports bar.

Already removed one of the theater chairs... having a hard time letting go of the big screen but I hear ya... love my games but love my movies too!

Ill post new pictures tonight

New pics of the cade... still need to move some inside been doing a lot of re-arranging...

Thinking of bringing sinistar in and putting it next to defender and moving Tron next to that.. then putting the super pac to replace tron. Ill have to move the Lady Bug somewhere as I need to get my battletoads and battlezone (being restored right now) in as well but I think I have a spot for them.

I keep trying to match up the height of games because it just looks wierd with smaller games sitting next to larger ones... kinda like EA

Looks much better, I would reduce the number of arcades by getting rid of the ones that don't get played. IE ladybug. and leave hte games in the arcade section and the movies seperate.

Yeah Im kinda thinking of switching rooms.. more wall space where the tv is right now... so many games so little room.

I get more play out of Ladybug than Ms Pac for some reason... and I like the look of the ladybug but I think you are right it may go as I dont personally play it myself as much as the others
