So I'm out and about with the SO shopping right now buying furniture. Thought it was a good idea to get a couple of barstools for my Showcase unit. Since I'm not in front of the unit to measure the height of the control panel... Abyone have any recommendations for barstool height? I'm attaching an old picture trying to squeeze it through a door. Hopefully that helps.

I also have a Sega Aero City cab as well I'm thinking of getting small stools for as well. So height recommendatiosn for that would be appreciated.

Thanks

They way I know if my seat is at a good height is when I sit down and reach my arms for the cp they should be about the same lv. Getting bar stools that have an adjustable height would be great.

Wow to the hand seat... Took awhile for it to load the page on my phone.

Right now I am looking for adjustable barstools but this fancy place is wayyyyy to expensive for just some barstools and they aren't adjustable. Still lookin.

IKEA has bar stools (I use for my uprights) and folding chairs that are useful for cocktail owners. They aren't the best of quality but allows a person on a budget the ability to purchase multiple chairs instead of paying a $90-$100 per chair premium.

not sure what ya have for cheaper stores out your way but we picked up our 2 padded, swivel top stools for $30 a piece at a store called big lots. not the best quality for sure but i have a friend who's over 300 lbs and they held him no probs. oh, and for size.... i make sure mine are no taller 3 ft high now. had taller 1's for my wife and daughter and they were just to high up.... even for me.

I'm not saying I don't want to spend a little money. But these barstools were $500. So I'm not spending that for my arcade cabinets. Ikea did come to mind, but that's an hour drive, so may have to wait on that.

hobo's has nice stools for 40 and 60 a crack.
Not metal but nice looking wood one's. plenty to choose from as well.

Here are the hand chairs in my gameroom by my Capcom Impress cab. They are definitely a conversation piece with everyone saying how cool they are!! Got a Guns N Roses padded stool for the GNR pin as well.

I bought four (Scoop Stools) they look like a shallow ice cream scoop with the seat made out of fiberglass. I have two red metal flake and two silver metal flake. They have about eight inches of height adjustment and are pretty comfortable (unless you weight 350lbs) These things look great in my 80s arcade.

I know you're in Virginia and I'm in CA, but where did you find your stools - store name? ...and how much if you don't mind?

I know what the stools you're talking about look like and they're cool!!

Thx
Tom

I got mine from a store in Lynchburg,Va. named Groovy Furniture. I think they were around $125.00 each. A few months back I was at a arcade auction and there were ten of these stools and they went for $300.00 for the lot.
I have seen these stools on the tv show I Carley. So they are around.....

Go to your local restaurant supply to find the barstools used in bars. I got a couple of these for $50 each a couple of years ago. I need to grab a few more one of these days. Just the right height for the upright cabs.

I got two stools from an Outback Steakhouse when they remodeled - FREE! I painted one with fluorescent green paint and it POPS in the blacklight. I need to paint the other one too.

I have the same cab with bar stools from Lowes for $20. Nothing fancy but does the job. they fit under the CP after you're done playing.
