Barn Find Tutankham in recovery...

Barn find Tut went into surgery a few hours ago and seems to be recovering nicely. I had to go in and cut all the rotten wood out of the base. I am please with the results. Rather than splice new wood in, I think I will leave it as is. You be the judge.

First thing to do is use a hammer and knock out the rotten base :

Preparing for surgery. I used a piece of particle board clamped down for a guide and a Makita trim saw to cut the sides :

Put some new leg levellers on :

Now that was convenient of them to build the cab with the floor 2-3" up from the bottom of the sides like that... No need for any splicing... looks great!

That worked out great, almost looks like it came that way. That's going to be a very nice cab when you're done, and knowing where it came from makes the final product even sweeter!

I guess this took priority over organizing the garage?

Lol, i was too lazy to put the new blade on, that was the old blade. It's hard to believe it's the same game.
