Hey all!

All the lamps work on my Bally Star Trek, except the 1-to-20 thousand lights
that go from the flippers to the enterprise:)

All other feature lights work. Any advice what could be wrong? I've tried two different
lamp driver boards, the problem is the same on both:(

These are the lights(between the flippers)(not actual playfield:)):

Thanks!!

If a "KNOWN GOOD" lamp driver board has the same issue then you've got a break in the wiring. Use a DMM and set for continuity test. Eventually you'll find where the disconnect/break is.

Put the game into lamp test and see if the SCRs that drive those lamps are strobing. If they are working the common switched illumination wire connecting to that row of lamps on the playfield is most likely disconnected. If they're not strobing I would suspect that those lamps are all on the same decoder and the enable line for that decoder is open between the MPU and driver board. I couldn't find the schematic showing which lamps are connected to which SCR outputs. Could also be a bad PIA output.

The first thing to do is determine if the SCRs driving those lamps are strobing in lamp test and if the enables and strobe from the MPU are working and getting to the ICs.

EDIT: We know the strobe is working because some of the lamps are working.
