My good buddy Lloyd from Coin Op Warehouse sold me this rarity,
a Bally Sente Cocktail "Hat Trick"

It is solid but needs a complete overhaul. I chose to start with the Control Panels.

Both were worn on the bends with some odd wrapping paper glued on and plexi shields.
Being it was so hot here in NJ today I decided to work with the heat gun. I stripped, sanded, Brillowed and buffed the Red Player side first.

Yesterday, I scanned and vectorized the entire cp the best I could with what was left of the art on both panels. My program of choice is Adobe Illustrator CS

after a few test runs, I finally got the colors correct and ran off a few

I laminated them both, left them in the sun to bake for 10 minutes or so, and now its time to apply them to the sanded panel

I came up with this window trick, It helps line up the cpo with the cp cuz you can see the light shine thru some. It is still tough to get perfect, but not bad for a hack.

now its time for a Silver Bullet, and then clean up the Joystick and buttons.

back with more pics as this project progresses

thanks for reading..

Nice job so far Richie. I didn't realize you printed your own stuff too. Looks really nice.

So now that you don't have the arcade, how many projects do you have going at a time? Hope everything's working out for you and you're able to make money with your restorations. I never had a chance to visit the old arcade and I wish I would have made time. Can't wait to see what you do in the future.

Hat Trick is a really fun game...I didn't know there was a cocktail version (though I would like to see one of the 4-p Team Hat Trick machines).

Nice start on the restoration.

OK, starting on the table glass underlay. Luckily, I have enough to work with, but it will be a chore. Starting to scan the pieces in now.

Nice work. The font looks like a fat version of Skia. There are a few differences in some of the characters, but most match up.

Think I found what I am looking for

used the site "whatthefont"

opinions?

it's 2:04 am;
finished the Cocktail Glass Underlay Vectorization in one day.
No Raster whatsoever.
Sacrificed some authenticity for perfect sharp lines but it was a no brainer.
I am good at those.

I just realized I still need to color match the yellows

I noticed that your cocktail's monitor is vertically oriented, but the upright cabinet's monitor was horizontal...what does the screen look like when it's on? Is it a different romset vs. the upright?
