there is one locally for $300.
appears to be working 100%

does this game have good replay value?
Is it worth owning?
pain in the ass?

love some feedback.

The Bally Rapid Fire and Williams Hyperball machines are not really "collectable", per se, but are unique in that they are a departure from standard pinball.

Replay value? Amusing but not something that will hold long term interest - but if interested, $300 for a fully working game is reasonable. Maintenance should not be a nightmare, as they have fewer bands/rings/mechanics than a standard pin.

Good luck!

Chris

I have never played Rapid Fire, but I own a Hyperball.

LOVE the game, but it's a pain to keep working, even in a home enviornment (at least mine has been).

That said, when it IS working, it is the most played game I have, by far, when people are over.

Chris M hit the nail on the head. It's not my favorite but I have had people ask me if I could find one for them. A working pin for $300 seems like an ok deal if the playwear is minimal. I would consider buying it just to play/ sit on untill that right person comes along.

i kno where theres a rapid fire for sale for years.....a local moving company has it plus 3 more arcade games for sale....the guy doesnt want much but doesnt care if he sells them ebcause he has room to store them
one game is an old arcade game with a monitor and it doesnt even have animations. it has like white lines for stick figures and its a driving game
the other is a double dribble or some old basketball game and he says it only works if you turn it on and slightly touch a connector in the back....
i forget the other arcade game
and a rapid fire.....
he will take less than $400 for all but i always thought rapid fire wasnt desirable to own.....
desirable doesnt matter to me if its fun to play......
