My Bally Radical! seems to be missing the slingshot kicker (B-12665) that is on the upper playfield that (I assume) kicks the ball towards the top left flipper. There is a hole for the kicker, but instead there are just three posts there with a rubber ring wrapped around all of them. The manual says there's supposed to be a kicker in the middle, and it makes sense with the playfield layout and graphics that there would be one there. So why is mine missing?

Does anyone else own this game and can compare? I'm really perplexed here

All production models are missing this....the original design had the upper kicker, as well as a hole for the snake pit, that took the ball under the playfield to a vertical upckicker on to put it back on the ramp on the left of the playfield. (check out the flyer) Your game is normal.

That sounds pretty cool, any protos out there that have this feature?

Great info, thanks. I can see why they would forgo the vertical upkicker, but that upper kicker seems like it was pretty instrumental to gameplay/flow, as you rarely get a good shot off the upper left flipper or at the upper right ramp as it currently stands.

I also found it odd that there wasn't a hole at that upper snake pit...interesting to know there originally was
