Hey, I am totally new to this restoration stuff. I have a 1977 Bally Night Rider SS pinball machine. The playfield has seen better days. I am pretty sure it was a machine from a local gaming company. anyways, someone has touched up some paint here and there, with all the wrong colors, sloppy with the brush not even close to looking right then slapped mylar all over it. so this bothered me. the mylar was so thick the ball would jump around on the playfield. all the inserts on the playfield have sunk down. I know the machine will never be 100% like it came off the showroom floor. but i would like to atleast have the playfield 85% or better. i know whoever did the touch up paint used gold to match the orange? seriously I think wood would have looked better than GOLD. anyways, i will post some pictures maybe y'all can point me in the right direction, I have read the Pinrepair stuff about restoration, just wanted to check in and see how y'all do things here.
the picture linked below is by far the worst section of the playfield, I will get some better pictures tomorrow with the digital camera. This is a picture taken by the phone
