I've owned this Bally 809 Slot Machine for the last 17 years. I have neglected using i over the past 3 years and the arm is now sluggish. I haven't been able to find my manual and can't remember how to lubricate it for the normal maintenance. Can someone post the process to get this running quick again? UPDATE- I found my Bally Service Manual. Is there a substitute for the Lubriplate and what is used for Heavy Duty Hydrotex Lube? Thanks Robert

For home use you don't want the Hydrotex. The machine simply won't get enough use. For oil use 3-1 and for areas needing grease, Super Lube Synthetic. Both are available at Harbor Freight. For the sluggish arm, you may have a worn seal in the tube mounted on the right side of the reel mech. If it's gunked up, remove the tube with the U link and clean it out. To get the old black rubber off, let it soak in water with Dawn dish soap overnight and it will fall right off. The machine will play fine without the seal, but I always replace them as they minimize handle bounce. If you only need one seal, there is a seller on EBay who has them.
