Does anyone know where I can pick up a rear skid plate for a Bally/Midway machine (specifically TRON)? It's visible in the TRON manual on page 5-6, but has no associated part number.

I assume they are universal, but I have no evidence. The one on TRON is 14" L, extends ~ 14/16" up the back panel and ~ 3/4" under the back, and is held on by screws at either end. It looks like this:

When it's been removed, the back starts to look like this:

So as it turns out, the part I have is similar but not the same...

Its the metal piece that is shaped the same that the top of the glass bezel rests against near the back of the cabinet.

Sorry man!

What hes looking for is from a Bally/Midway machine that has wheels on it. Took me a while to remember that the pac machines DIDN'T have wheels, so the angled piece was longer. Hes got the piece to cut down, so no need to go to HD. Actually it is different than just angle iron..thinner.
So if anyone out there has one off a machine with wheels - let him know.

Yes, definitely a thicker, shorter piece than for a Pac. I was hoping to get a proper size one so I wouldn't have to destroy the Pac one and pass that on to someone else who needs it. I was just at HD yesterday and didn't even think to look... (annoyed grunt).

Same issue with the one I picked up from you? That would suck. :(. Haven't checked it out yet.

Well, unfortunately it is. They were both off of Pac Man machines I converted into 19 in 1s a few years back. I forgot the Pac machines didnt have wheels, thus the trim piece is slightly longer. Realistically, they are the same piece, and can be trimmed down to fit. Nothing a whizz cutter cant take care of in 30 seconds.
Better too long than too short!
But if there's that much of an issue, PM me and well discuss it further.
Jeff

No worries. I just took a look and I can cut it down easily enough. Appreciate the offer though.
