FS Parts: Bally midway coin door for Pac-Man cabinet redone

Ok. This thread is 3 pages long. I'll be the one to say it.

Good sir.

You are landing outside of actual value in your accessment of the item you are trying to sell.

For an item such as this, I think most would agree you would land around the $50-60 shipped or so area.

Folks on these forums usually like a bit of a deal ok the community so you can expect offers lower than that.

I'm afraid with the commonality of this you will not see anywhere near what you have been asking.

All that said - GLWTS. Just don't want you to waste your time and save you some threadcrapping.

Precisely.

You cheap fuckers. Go buy a piece of shit used Midway coin door and give it the full treatment like the OP has, and let me know how much you've spent.

Those Imonex coin mechs are $15 EACH alone. Sockets $5 each, inserts $6.

That's more than $50 in just those few parts. Now add in chrome coin acceptors, new reject springs, and lock hardware.

Now the labor to strip and polish all of the mech hardware. Then the cost to strip and powder coat the frame and door.

I'm not saying the OP's asking price is right, but offering $50 for this is just retarded, plain and simple.

I don't think that anyone is arguing that we are cheap.

That said - if I get a PAC-MAN cabinet, fully strip and treat the wood, full paint and stencil, completely factory restore it - it would be a fine specimen. But no way I could command $3000 for it. The market just doesn't carry it.

Just because you don't think that the price offered is fair doesn't mean that you have the right to call me a cheap fucker.

If you posted a mint-restored Pac - A TRULY MINT cab...you will get a buyer at $3K.

Is it just me... Or is it dented.... I count 5 dents

And how did the paint on the name plate survive the baking process and not discolor the plate?

My first thought was "Holy crap that is a lot to ask for a coin door, what has been done to it?" And the answer was...no idea...the OP didn't say other than "all redone". I am sorry, but if you want to command a price like that, you need to show a before pic of the item and then go into great detail about what exactly was done to the item. And show pics of the entire process. If the OP did this, I think he definitely would fare better.
