Hello,

I bought a Bally Gold Rush Nickel slot machine yesterday to restore for my wife. I have all the information off the placard, but I can't find any information anywhere on the web for it. I am trying to find a power supply for starters and then a coin mechanism. Both these parts are missing. I am looking for any schematics and parts lists specifically, but any information would be helpful. The information I have is:
Bally Manufacturing Corp
4/28/90 Stamped over Bally.
Serial #S900402096
Model #S63M36T-03
DMP-23-1993

On a sticker on the side:
Bally Gaming, Inc.
S63B36-00-1399

I would appreciate any information I can get.

I assume this is a pcb controlled slot and not electromechanical?

If so, can you provide pictures of the inside of the machine and the pcb?

Maybe a Proslot S5500? I have some Bally manuals and I might have a coin comparitor for that model.

You might also find some info on newlifegames.com.

There is a emblem on the front that says 5000Plus. Would that be like a generic case that could house different games depending on the boards installed and graphics? I took a few pictures you asked for. I hope this helps! The guy I bought it from said the "transformer" was missing and showed me the two connector ends in the base of the cabinet. I was under the impression that it was like a power supply in a PC, not a PCB. Any information and guidance is greatly appreciated!

Looks like you have a 5000+

It does look like the transformer and power supply are missing.

I assume you pulled the hopper out to expose the unattached plugs, or is that missing as well?

Try searching for 5000+ or 5000 plus information. Here is another thread from here:

My manuals are for the ProSlot 5500, so I don't think they would help you much.
But I will happily send them to you if you want. PM me an email address.

I would try newlifegames.com. They have a whole section for Bally reel slots:
Not sure if they have a manual section...

Hi Phil,

Yes, it is a 5000+. I finally got that figured out! The pictures I posted, I did have to pull the hopper out to take the pictures. Should I have a transformer and a power supply as in two different units? I researched a bit last night and figured out that the power supply should be an AS-2982-11. I was unable to find one for sale last night if I want a plug and play replacement, but I found that a lot of people have gone to a Meanwell RQ125D power supply and cut out the plug and wired it to the new power supply. I may have to try that if I can't find an actual AS-2982-11. I haven't looked at the machine a lot (it's cold in the garage right now) but I have noticed there is no power cord for it. I will have to look into that soon. I have figured out by looking at some other pictures of this type of unit, that I should have a CC-62 coin comparitor. I haven't had any luck trying to find that either, but the search has just started! Thank you for pointing me in the right direction!

I registered an account and spent my night researching! Got lots of good information, a couple of part numbers to start looking for and possibly some schematics to try and get this thing going with.
Thanks for the assist!

I think you need a transformer as well as a power supply. Try to look at a photo.

I wish I could help with the coin comparitor, but I only have CC-16s.

Good luck,
Phil

I've been looking for parts and can't find them anywhere so far. I did find this listing on Ebay, https://www.ebay.com/itm/2263803907...-b642-822e6a8cfb33|iid:1|vlpname:vlp_homepage
for a S5500 wiring harness, transformer, power supply and all the doo-dads. Do you think this would work in my 5000+?

Not sure. The harness is unlikely to work without at least modifications. Power supply you should check the specs and see if the outputs are similar.
