Bally Electro mechanicla slot machine.

The "Starfish Plastic in the center of the hopper has degraded to a soft greasey green/black piece. Nickels are sticking and making everything black and messy

Is this Item available.

Thanks

RJ

slot part

Thaks Ken. That works.

All the reels spin it takes money it is a 3 linner. It just will not pay out.

It went from not paying out opn a win to me cleaning some of the contacts on the hopper connector and switches and plugging the hopper back in. It started to spit nickels and would not stop. The machine went dark. The red light in the back was on I unplugged and plugged it back in and started the spit nickel game all over again. Is there a reset and/or jackpot rest somewere on this machine.

I was working there Pin and just took a break and dug into this for a few minutes.

hasn't been turned on in years.

thanks again

you have what is called hopper over run, the red light you see in the back indicates the breaker popped it does this when the hopper doesn't stop paying out there are several ways to get it to stop paying out the easiest probably would be to manually reset the solenoid on the hopper. When you hit the right solenoid it will reset the wiper blades. This problem happens to every bally machine from that era and is fairly easy to solve. next to or on top of not sure how to describe it's location there is either 1 of 2 style of rubber parts one looks like a pencil eraser the other more like a washer these most likely will need to be replaced as the wear down over time, there is some adjustment there so you might get lucky. Adjusting these is an art are would take me several paragraphs to explain. But after a few tries you will get it working. If you need to replace these they are near impossible to find and you will need to recreate them if its the one that looks like a pencil eraser most people just replace it with one. If it's the washer type you just need to get creative. The point of this part is to have the wipers stop on the zero payout to help you gauge where to line it up the wipers would need to go all the way to the beginning of the contact. If this doesn't help send me a picture of your hopper and I will walk you through it.

Yes he use to have the zero stops too but he sold out years ago unless he found a new source it's been a few years since I have needed parts for a bally.

slot hopper

Thanks for the reply and the tech tips I have the hopper up on the bench. I am waiting to go over to happ to pickup the 6-Star Bally Agitator R-526 with Bushingpart. I will take a look at the hopper again in the next few days.
It has not been played in about 4 years.

I can't believe how dirty and deteriated the 6 star had become. I t looked like it had a chemical reaction.

Any other parts I should replace? I was going to clean it. The go threw all of the contacts and clean them up.

The Pheasant Run show is coming up in November. I allways see parts there.

Thanks Again for the help

If you find the agitator star for your hopper dust it with talcum powder before installing it to keep the heat from making it ooze. Redust every six months or as needed. Old trick!!!

Broken Part

Ok I finally dug into the hopper. It has a broken C-100 "Ratchet and Shaft" part. The large coil of wire worked its way threw the gear, have to find a pic of were that goes.. I found the pencil eraser. It still has the tits on the rubber. looks ok. About the size of a Jays potato chip pencils eraser.

I glued it for now. I thought abought running a number #6 screw threw the shaft and cutting it to size. head of the screw in the shaft with a washer nut with washer and lock tight. Waiting for the 2 part epoxy to dry. hope it will hold

I cleand the hopper plate and reinstalled the new agitator.

Found the paper washer, interesting concept.

thanks
