Bah...Tempest May Go

If it doesn't get played because you don't like it, then sell it. If if doesn't get played because right now you're playing other titles keep it... as you'll eventually cycle back to playing it.

Personally I'd sell it, but I've never been a fan of Tempest.

I agree, I see games constantly fawned over here (red tent, playchoice, nes in an arcade cab) that I wouldn't play and would only own if I thought I could flip it for a game I would like.
But I'd love a Tempest :)

Sorry, but that game just doesn't do anything for me. I try to play it every few years but just can't get into it.

Now you have me thinking of listing all my games for sale at outrageous prices just to see if I get any bites. I'd have to go more outrageous than you did though because there's no way I'd sell my Tempest for $750. $1250 I'd do it for sure.

The thing is, someone might pony up the cash and then I'd spend the next 10 years looking for a bargain priced Tempest again.

What the heck does omgwtfbbq stand for anyway? I get all of it except the bbq part.

I just assumed that BBQ meant its normal Barbecue and that you would say that because BBQ is so damn good. :)

if you really feel guilty about telling him no, just unplug the monitor , have him come over, and whoops, it's broken, but i won't go down on price...

edit - realistically, you could just explain your position and try to help find him another tempest or find yourself one and then sell the cocktail. that way you'll be on good terms for future business.

I use MEH an LOL IRL* alla time! :D

Sadly, I am being serious. I consider them 'new' words. You old codgers can yell at me to get off your lawn, if you want... But I'm frickin' 40.

I use "Meh" *in real life quite often, actually. Lol notsomuch.

I actually own one of these, as well. Probably bringing it to CAX...

I lol'd @ the flask. OMGWTFFLASK! That is teh awesome. It pwns.

I'd sell it.

In fact, I've sold three over the past 15 years and currently have a nice cabaret. Highest I've ever paid for one is $350.

The only regret I have is including a Clay Cowgill multi-Tempest kit in the first one we had. I never thought Clay would get out of the hobby so I was bummed when we got our second and couldn't get a kit.

Sell it! :)

You can take nips off of it at CAX if you want.
