Bagman High Score Save kit interest and committment list

Cool the sooner I can get a jamma adapter and pcb the quicker I can turn this around if it becomes a reality. I have most of the code running in MAME, just need to make sure it works the same on real hardware

I can lend the jamma adapter :)

Mark Spaeth messaged today stating this Bagman HSS kit may be rendered obsolete as he may be working on a Bagman/SuperBagman multi kit. He said he recently found his SuperBagman PCB. We exchanged a few emails and Mark was non committal when asked if we could expect his kit within the timeframe 2011-2012. He replied he had done some prelimary work but hadn't looked at it since 2001.

So there we have it. Our options are to proceed with this Bagman HSS kit (Souzilla has already completed the code... just needs to test it on real hardware) and should be ready shortly after we receive 15 prepays. Or cease the project, in favor of waiting for Mark's multikit which has an unknown release date and may or may not materialize and ask Souzilla to turn his attention to a HSS kit for another title.

For those that wish to opt out and wait for Mark's kit, just let me know and I will remove your name from our list. For those that have already prepaid let me know and I will issue an immediate refund.

For those choosing to stick with Souzilla's kit lmk and I will add a (confirmed) next to your name. The worst case scenario for those sticking it out, would be you would have the option to upgrade from Souzilla's HSS to Mark's multikit if it is produced at a later date. (you'd be buying both kits)

I remain interested in Souzilla's HSS kit and will keep my status as (paid). I will grab one of Spaeth's multi's if its someday produced. In the meantime I hope to enjoy Souzilla's kit saving my Bagman scores.

Please chime in and let me know what you wish to do. No worries which option you decide is in your best interest :)

p1899m confirmed his continued interest in Souzilla's HSS kit. Thanks man :)

So far, 7 of the original 9 have maintained their interest, just waiting to hear from the remaining 2. If all goes well, that leaves us just needing 5 more peeps to committ.

I'll be sending my bagman pcb with jamma adapter to Souzilla next week so he can take a look.

I'll let Mark know there appears to be interest to support both kits when and if they become avail :)

Got it. Looks like you have either Stern Set 1 or Stern Set 2. I made the code fixes for the original rom set. Should not take too long to modify the Stern set

I'll be sending my bagman pcb with jamma adapter to Souzilla next week so he can take a look.

Intruder80 added to our interest list :) Sorry for my slowdown of activity...my son's soccer season is underway and we're 2 weeks or so into escrow so my plate has been hectic lol.

Just saw this post; would seriously be interested in a Bagman/SuperBagman multi, but not just the high score kit. (Have a Bagman cab and adding SBM would be awesome.)

A couple of questions

Good morning

I have a couple of questions:

I am guessing this kit will be like some of the others that have some custom chips and a Dallas BB RAM? My games are stored in an environment which unfortunately is not heated in the winter and I am concerned the BB RAM will just go dead in short period of time due to the cold. Does anyone have any experience with this and the Dallas BB RAM? Curious.

That being said I am interested in the project... I think I may be the craziest Bagman enthusiast out there. :)
