It seems the freebie cab I got from TNT was/is a Bagman cab. Still has most of the original wiring in it (although hacked pretty bad) and the original transformer. Cab is in fair shape and has a thick coat of black paint over the original yellow.

Control panel is a custom made one (someone did a nice job kinda) for Strata horse racing. I can easily make a new one.

What should I do with it? Multi? Anyone have parts they wanna sell cheap?

I was considering using it for my Area 51 Site 4 but this natively takes a vertical monitor, although it looks like it was hacked to take a horizontal so who knows.

Restore it. Not enough love for Bagman here. Rarely hear about them matter of fact.

ask rikitiki at thisoldgame.com he may have a few sets of sideart left. It's also the exact same cab as pooyan too.

convert it to pooyan....god dammit! Where the hell are the Pooyans for sale?

Never played Pooyan. How is it on MAME? I may download the MAME software just for the heck of it.

Nah the Atari version sucks!!!!! Oh you meant Bagman....;)

I am in the process of restoring one myself. I am going all original. It was the one game that I really remember as a young buck. The game is hard as hell.

I also believe both Bagman and Super Bagman are on the Arcadeshop multiboard if you can manage to pick one of those up somewhere. Thisoldgame.com had sideart and control panels at one point. I have some of his sideart art and it is amazing.

The cab was clearly a Bagman at one time. There was artwork reproed by Rich and QA used to have a T/W Bagman PCB on their site as well. You'd then just need a Bagman harness, switcher and marquee and your golden. Unless Rich is sold out of the side art and CPO's, Bagman would be my pick. I'm still pissed at DanofEarth for talking me out of mine:

Bagman FTW!!!!

Arcade trivia: I think Bagman was the first game to make me drop an F-bomb. Friggin hard game. But like others have said, I keep coming back for more. I have a Super Bagman cab that's in bad shape, but I made the boards work (Bagman only so far). I was getting pretty good before something burned in the monitor. I could last for at least two minutes before dying off. :001_ssuprised: I'm soooo glad I have the game. (thank you again, avidgeek!!) One day I'll get it running again.

I just sent an email to Rich to see if they will be repoing the side art and cpo's again soon. I would be in for some new side art and cpo for sure.

Pooyan is amazing!!! One of my favs for sure! Definitely worth the play on MAME. For the time being (almost 4 years now), I play Pooyan on MAME until I can purchase a dedicated cab.

Never played Pooyan. How is it on MAME? I may download the MAME software just for the heck of it.

If anyone has a Bagman, can you take a pic of the inside of the drawer, and the coin door wiring from the back? It looks like the coin door was swapped from a different game.

Fixing the wiring wouldn't be too difficult, but I don't know what the power supply is supposed to look like, but if its the typical Stern one that I heard bad things about then I guess I should just use a switcher. The moexes that I guess went to the power supply are BAKED.

I'll post pics later once I get some actual work done.

Bagman

Bagman is fairly rare to find and super bagman even more. All of us KLOV'ers need to start doing a bit more preservation and less MAME-ing of cabinets.

I just picked up a super bagman PCB and it took me 3 years to find one and actually get it on an auction. Most of the SB PCBs are selling in the $100-140 range and bagmans are $50+. The only cabs I've seen are a few on KLOV over the last 4-5 years. Please restore it or sell it to someone who will.
