So I have a few games that have had weird behaviors, and I think it all has to do with funky power strips..

Tron: shut off completely during a party, like a fuse blew. Magog and I were playing and it just went out, boom. Done. 2 days later, on its own it turns on again. I did nothing to it.

Moon Patrol: Same strip, monitor and game pcb wouldn't work. Marquee light and a hum was all I got. Works fine now, all on its own..

Space Duel: Diff power strip, monitor refused to fire up. Changed strip and now it works fine.

Super Pac-man: Same strip as Duel, monitor may not come on. Works great on its own.

I know the resolution to this is better power management, but I am stuck for another 4-5 months till the big move to the basement game room. Maybe new power strips? Or is something else amiss I don't know about?

Anyone else experience this?

Was that the night my brother and I were there? Glad to see it wasn't anything serious :)

Putting lots of games on one circuit / power strip can cause voltage drop on the circuit, even if you aren't actually overloading the circuit. So "better power management" may be more relevant than you realize. Also, some weak/crappy power strips will cause voltage drop all on their own, which will get progressively worse as the load goes up. If your games are sensitive to input voltage, this may be your problem.
