any ideas helpful. problem I have is...when I put a rad racer pcb in I get no video on the monitor and when I take it out I then get video and can see the other 9 games. I then put in another game board in and video is fine and can see all 10 games. I assume it is a bad game board? any ideas on this or a fix? thanks. Kevin

Sounds like it, it's definitely possible. I had a SMB cart that was the same way. Completely shut the whole machine down if it was in the motherboard, worked fine when it was out.

Sounds like a problem with the security chip.
That's the tiny little chip on the lower right of the PCB (usually).

Try taking it out and reinstalling it...that's all I got.

Good luck.

Theres some weird game boards that do akward things with the motherboard. I have a Duck Hunt that resets the board and messes with the graphics with all the games. By itself on the board its fine. Havent tried it in another motherboard. I have tho swapped the chips out into another Duck Hunt board and it seems to make the problem better.

You might be able to pull a working security chip from a Rad Racer NES cart. I was able to do it with the SMB board I was talking about.

thanks for all the info. will try erics idea on pulling the security chip and re post in a couple mins.

well that was an easy fix. I pulled all the boards I could and reinstalled them and now works fine. lets hope it stays that way:) thanks for the help guys. much appreciated. Kevin
