Bad K7000 revisited

Whatever came of this?
I replaced C37 and C36, powered on monitor and fuse didn't blow but Hot got incredibly HOT. Replaced Hot, Vreg and C36 as it had shorted and fuse blew again after a few seconds.

I think a secondary issue developed somewhere or maybe the Hot got take out again. I put so many new parts into this thing I decided it was best to harvest it for parts. This thing blew more fuses and Hots than I care to think of right now.

I bought a K7000 chassis that was claimed to be working but didn't have a neckboard. Used the neckboard from this chassis and I got a beautiful bright picture.

This chassis has a new flyback, caps and other parts so everything will get transplanted to a few spare chassis I have so that I can get those working.

I went through the blown fuse routine and it turned out I had a brand new flyback that was bad right out of the box (internally shorted). Replaced it with a spare second brand new flyback and was up and running again.

I have a spare chassis that needs a recap and flyback. The flyback is clicking but still operates. I'll pull the flyback from this chassis and see what it does. If the new flyback is indeed bad I'll have to see about trying to get this one running again.
