I am needing a push in the right direction on the Rowe CD 250 Watt 7 band Eq amp. I know i need all cap replaced. Static. Blown channel. Have to check Trans for Mp. What am i missing here? As a side note. Ray Peterson was our jukebox tech at A & M. He passed away a few months ago.
Remember, If you don't know the answer. Don't waste somebody else's time acting like you do.

Start with the basics:

Recap all the amplifier circuit boards (both driver boards and preamp board).

Test all four output transistors and replace any bad ones. Don't forget to use a mica insulator and heat sink grease on the output transistors.

Examine all circuit boards for bad solder joints. Pay particular attention to the solder at the connector pins. The solder at the preamp jumper connector is particularly troublesome.

Test all the 5 watt rectangular resistors on the driver boards. Sometimes you'll find one of them has gone open circuit.

Test all the transistors on the driver boards.
